Frequently Asked Questions

I have never practiced at a private residence. How does this work?

My home has several areas suitable for enjoying Hood Canal while practicing yoga.  It won't be much different than going to a studio, except its much more scenic here!

After we agree on a date/time, I will ask you to complete a form /waiver to sign, and I will collect your contact information as well.  I accept cash, Venmo & Zelle. A gov't-issued photo ID is required upon arrival to class.

In what area of Hood Canal is the class located and is there parking?

The home is located on Highway 101, just North of Hoodsport.  Guests at The Glen Resort can walk here!  There is parking for 2 cars.  So, if you have 3 in your group, 2 will need to ride together.

What days are classes taught?

Mon-Fri: Class times available between 9am and 6 pm

Sat:  Various class times available depending on the date.

Sun: Classes aren't typically taught on Sundays, but if that is the only day that works for you, then I should be able to accommodate!

For an indoor class, what is the ambience like?

The primary purpose of the room is to practice yoga, though I do have some furniture in here.  It shouldn't feel any different than a 'regular' yoga studio, though this one likely has a nicer view :-)

Do you provide yoga mats and blocks?

Yoga mats and  blocks are provided but you are welcome to use your own if you wish.    Filtered water is available to fill up your bottle.

Is your home allergen-free?

We have 2 cats who spend 90% of their time on the ground floor, where classes are not held.  But the practice room probably isn't 100% free of cat dander.  Note that I am actually allergic to cats so I am always on the hunt for cat hair to dispose of it.

We do not have any carpet in the house, so as to minimize dust getting trapped and held in fibers.
